Ambon,-Redaksi Timor. Com,<\/strong> – Persatuan Dokter Obstetri dan Ginekologi Indonesia (POGI) Wilayah Maluku menyatakan komitmennya, untuk terus membantu Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Ambon, dalam upaya menekan angka stunting di daerah tersebut.<\/p>\n

Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan kegiatan pemeriksaan, dan intervensi kesehatan bagi ibu hamil yang digelar POGI bersama PT Pegadaian di Puskesmas Rumah Tiga, Kota Ambon, Jumat (21\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ketua POGI Wilayah Maluku, dr. Janne Pattiasina. Sp.OG mengatakan, persoalan stunting tidak dapat hanya dibebankan kepada pemerintah, tetapi membutuhkan keterlibatan seluruh pihak, termasuk organisasi profesi dan tenaga kesehatan.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cStunting ini bukan hanya tugas pemerintah, tetapi menjadi tugas kita semua. POGI juga memiliki tanggung jawab, untuk ikut membantu pemerintah dalam upaya pencegahan dan penanganan stunting,\u201d kata Janne, saat dihubungi dari Ambon, Sabtu (22\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Menurutnya, keterlibatan POGI akan terus diarahkan pada upaya promotif dan preventif, terutama dalam meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai pentingnya kesehatan ibu dan anak.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Janne menjelaskan, pencegahan stunting perlu dilakukan sejak sebelum kehamilan, selama masa kehamilan, hingga periode 1.000 hari pertama kehidupan anak.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Karena itu, perhatian terhadap kesehatan ibu menjadi salah satu bagian penting, dalam memutus mata rantai stunting.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ia menilai, kolaborasi antara POGI, Pemkot Ambon, Dinas Kesehatan, fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan, pihak swasta, serta masyarakat perlu terus diperkuat, agar berbagai program pencegahan stunting dapat berjalan secara berkelanjutan.<\/p>\n

\u201cDengan adanya dukungan dari POGI dan seluruh pihak yang terlibat, kita berharap angka stunting di Kota Ambon dapat terus ditekan,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n

Janne menambahkan, upaya tersebut membutuhkan kerja bersama, dan tidak bisa dilakukan secara parsial.<\/p>\n

Edukasi kepada calon ibu dan ibu hamil, pemeriksaan kehamilan secara rutin, pemenuhan gizi, serta pemantauan tumbuh kembang anak harus menjadi perhatian bersama.<\/p>\n

POGI Wilayah Maluku, kata dia, akan terus membuka ruang kolaborasi dengan pemerintah daerah dan swasta, dalam mendukung program kesehatan ibu dan anak, termasuk upaya percepatan penurunan stunting di Kota Ambon.<\/p>\n
