Momentum ini disambut positif oleh Komisaris Utama PT PLN Energi Gas, Saiful Chaniago, yang menegaskan bahwa proyek tersebut harus memberikan manfaat sebesar-besarnya bagi masyarakat Maluku.<\/p>\n<p>Pernyataan itu disampaikan Saiful usai menghadiri pembukaan Advance Training Latihan Kader (LK) III Tingkat Nasional BADKO HMI Maluku di Gedung Islamic Center Ambon, Sabtu (25\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Menurutnya, dimulainya proyek Gas Masela merupakan tonggak penting setelah lebih dari tiga dekade dinantikan. Karena itu, ia berharap kehadiran proyek ini mampu menjadi penggerak pertumbuhan ekonomi sekaligus meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat di Maluku.<\/p>\n<p>Saiful menegaskan dua komitmen utama dalam pelaksanaan proyek tersebut, yakni mengutamakan putra-putri Maluku dalam penyerapan tenaga kerja dan membentuk Masyarakat Gas Maluku (MGM) sebagai wadah yang menjembatani komunikasi antara pelaksana proyek dengan masyarakat, termasuk dalam pelaksanaan program pemberdayaan dan bantuan sosial.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Prinsip kami, di mana PLN membangun, di situ masyarakat harus ikut merasakan manfaatnya. Gas Masela harus menjadi penggerak kesejahteraan dan kemajuan bagi rakyat Maluku,&#8221; tegas Saiful.<\/p>\n<p>Selain PLN, proyek Gas Masela juga melibatkan Pertamina sebagai mitra strategis dalam pengelolaan energi nasional.
