Mengusung tema \u201cSatu Hati, Satu Semangat\u201d, perayaan ini menjadi ruang refleksi sejarah iman sekaligus momentum mempererat persaudaraan lintas generasi di Tanah Maluku.<\/p>\n<p>Kegiatan yang dipusatkan di Gedung Serbaguna Xaverius melibatkan guru, komite sekolah, orang tua, serta pelajar dari berbagai jenjang. Sejumlah tokoh masyarakat, raja-raja negeri, pimpinan daerah, hingga unsur pemerintah kota turut hadir menyemarakkan perayaan.<\/p>\n<p>Rangkaian acara diawali ibadah syukur di gereja-gereja, kemudian dilanjutkan pentas seni, tarian tradisional yang dibawakan siswa SD hingga SMA, pelayanan sosial, serta kegiatan budaya yang melibatkan komunitas sekolah dan jemaat.<\/p>\n<p>Uskup Inno Ngutra dari Dioses Amboina menegaskan bahwa tema \u201cSatu Hati, Satu Semangat\u201d bukan sekadar slogan, melainkan panggilan iman untuk diwujudkan dalam tindakan nyata.<\/p>\n<p>Ia mengingatkan bahwa benih iman telah ditanam di Ambon sejak 480 tahun lalu oleh para misionaris. Dua dekade mendatang, tepatnya 2034, umat akan memperingati 500 tahun pembaptisan pertama di Maluku\u2014sebuah tonggak penting bagi kekristenan di Indonesia. Karena itu, peringatan ini tidak hanya mengenang masa lalu, tetapi juga mempersiapkan masa depan.<\/p>\n<p>Ia juga mengusulkan agar 14 Februari menjadi momentum bersama umat Kristen dan Katolik di Ambon sebagai pesta iman dan persaudaraan. \u201cKita tidak ingin hidup dalam prasangka. Kita ingin bersatu dalam kabar gembira,\u201d tegasnya.<\/p>\n<p>Sementara itu, Bodewin Melkias Wattimena menekankan pentingnya sejarah sebagai fondasi identitas kota. Menurutnya, perjalanan panjang pewartaan Injil di Ambon merupakan kisah tentang menabur kebaikan dan membangun peradaban.<\/p>\n<p>Ia menegaskan bahwa identitas Ambon sebagai Kota Injil harus tercermin dalam kehidupan yang menghargai perbedaan dan menjunjung tinggi persaudaraan. \u201cApi Injil tidak mungkin menyala di kota yang tidak menghargai perbedaan,\u201d ujarnya.<\/p>\n<p>Wali kota juga menyoroti sejumlah tantangan yang dihadapi daerah, mulai dari keterbatasan anggaran, perlambatan ekonomi, dampak global terhadap distribusi pangan, hingga persoalan pengelolaan sampah dan kerukunan sosial. Menurutnya, tantangan tersebut hanya dapat diatasi melalui persatuan seluruh elemen masyarakat.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam catatan sejarah, Xaverius tiba dan melayani di Pulau Ambon, khususnya di Hative, hingga tahun 1547 sebelum melanjutkan misi ke Malaka dan Jepang. Ia wafat di Pulau Sancian pada 3 Desember 1552 dalam perjalanan menuju Tiongkok.<\/p>\n<p>Misi tersebut membawa dampak besar bagi perkembangan umat Katolik di Maluku. Pada 1560 jumlah umat tercatat sekitar 10.000 jiwa, dan meningkat pesat menjadi sekitar 60.000 jiwa menjelang akhir abad ke-16.<\/p>\n<p>Warisan semangat misi, pelayanan, dan kasih itulah yang kembali diteguhkan dalam peringatan 480 tahun ini.
