Wattimena, secara resmi melantik dan mengukuhkan Mezaack Maurits Silooy sebagai Raja Negeri Amahusu, Selasa (29\/7\/2025), di Negeri Amahusu, Kecamatan Nusaniwe.<\/p>\n<p>Pelantikan ini menandai berakhirnya kekosongan kepemimpinan adat yang telah lama dirindukan masyarakat Negeri Amahusu. Upacara yang berlangsung dengan nuansa adat istiadat yang kental ini dihadiri oleh unsur pemerintah, tokoh adat, pemuka agama, serta ratusan warga yang memadati lokasi acara.<\/p>\n<p>Dalam sambutannya, Wali Kota Ambon menegaskan bahwa pelantikan ini bukan sekadar seremonial administratif, melainkan sebuah peristiwa historis yang sarat nilai budaya dan spiritual.<\/p>\n<p>Ia juga mengingatkan bahwa seorang raja tidak hanya mewakili satu soa atau mata rumah, namun adalah pemimpin seluruh warga negeri. Raja diharapkan menjadi sosok yang mengayomi, melayani, dan merangkul semua elemen masyarakat.<\/p>\n<p>Tak lupa, ia mengingatkan pentingnya menjaga sumpah adat dan tanggung jawab terhadap leluhur. Dalam bahasa adat, ia menegaskan:<\/p>\n<p>Di akhir acara, Wali Kota menyampaikan ucapan selamat kepada Raja Mezaack Maurits Silooy atas kepercayaan yang telah diberikan masyarakat dan menaruh harapan besar agar kepemimpinan ini membawa berkah, persatuan, dan kemajuan bagi Negeri Amahusu.<\/p>\n<p>Pelantikan ini sekaligus mempertegas komitmen Pemerintah Kota Ambon dalam menjaga dan memperkuat sistem pemerintahan adat sebagai bagian integral dari kehidupan masyarakat Maluku.
